Not all blackjack games are created equal. Subtle rule variations greatly affect players’ chances of winning. Harrods’ blackjack offers some of most favourable rules anywhere – online or offline!

4-Decks: The lower the number of decks used by the house the greater your chances of winning. Most casinos offer 6 or 8 deck games.

Surrender option available: Surrender gives you the opportunity to ‘surrender’ when you have a bad hand. Surrendering forfeits half of your bet. Used at the right times, this option puts more money in your bank.

Split up to 3 times: When you have a good hand, you’ll want to split as often as possible. While many casinos restrict players to 1 or 2 splits, Harrods blackjack allows players to split up to 3 times.

Double on any two cards: Casinos often allow players to double only on a hand total of 9-11 or 10-11. This lowers your ability to potentially increase your winnings when you have a good hand. At Harrods, players can double on any two cards.

Double after split: Harrods allows players to double their bet after splitting, thereby offering a chance to win more when used at the right occasion.

Dealer stands on all 17s: Harrods’ dealer will stand on all 17s giving patrons the maximum opportunity to win. Blackjack variations where the dealer draws on soft-17 decreases the player’s chances of winning.

Full dealer peek: This favourable feature increases players’ chances of winning. The dealer draws a second face-down card at the outset of the game and checks if she has blackjack. If so, the game ends. Casinos that do not perform this check in advance of the player taking his or her leave the player open to doubling the bet or splitting when the dealer is holding a blackjack.
